I still have aspirations to create a series of photographs using animal and bird masks that I’ve been making. Up to now, I’ve just made one – Grumpy Cat – but finally I have added a second creature to the menagerie, a ragged Crow. At this rate it seems unlikely that I’ll ever complete the photography project, but check back in in about ten years, and you never know…

The mask is basically just papier-mache around a wire frame that I shaped using bent coat hangers and stuck together with hot glue. I wanted a slightly less literal sort of interpretation than Grumpy Cat, which hopefully I’ve caught with the holes torn in the mask and feathery shreds of paper.
