Below

It’s that time of year again when the Bournemouth Shooting From the Hip 48 Hour Film competition rolls around, which is always a blast and always really well organised. Last year we did a dark fairytale called Wonderland.

This year we were given the title ‘Below’ and a randomly selected prop which was a light box. After much debate on the Friday night we came up with a whimsical tale which we filmed on the Saturday and I edited on the Sunday. All in all it was a pretty exhausting exercise, but very good fun!

At the screening on Thursday our film got a great reception from the audience and we got runner up for Audience Favourite vote, out of 14 films. This was our fourth film for this competition, and the first time we’ve ever been given an award from the judges – Best Use of Prop! Woohoo!

It’s only five minutes, please do give it a go! I hope you enjoy watching it.
