Drowned Gods

It’s kids craft time with my little girl, who is two years old, nearly three. I suggested that we did pictures of underwater scenes. She agreed, but ended up drawing a ‘map to find the way to the circus’, which actually sounds more exciting so I wasn’t going to dissuade her.

I tried out a children’s activity project that I saw online recently, of drawing an image onto clear sheet of plastic with a piece of black paper underneath, and then using a paper cut out of a torch with a white beam of light to highlight the images, so it seems like you are illuminating a dark scene.

Instead of the suggested jolly underwater scene, I went for an image of some kind of Cthulhoid spawn emerging from the cyclopean ruins of a drowned city.

And here is my girl’s lovely map. I hope you find your way to the circus.
