Let it Snow

When scanning some of my old negatives for the Pentax 100 blog post, there were a number of snowy scenes in my garden where I grew up which I thought could form a separate post.

As with the Pentax 100 images, these scans are very poor quality, but I feel that this helps to heighten the atmosphere and give the scenes an unreal feeling. This is particularly lovely for me, because my recollection of the experience of taking these photos was of going into this strangely silent space that I was so familiar with, and yet which had been changed completely by the snow.

It was sort of Narnian in its wonder and strangeness, and I hope I managed to capture just a hint of this.
