…and you win some, but – for me – not today. Very disappointed with my latest attempt at an oil pastel portrait.

It turns out to be a really difficult medium, and so easy to end up overworking, and also a likeness is even harder to capture because of the thickness of the pastels and the difficulty being accurate with that.

Anyway, I don’t think he’s entirely terrible, and here he is:
