‘But to our tale:– Ae market-night,
Tam had got planted unco right;
Fast by an ingle, bleezing finely,
Wi’ reaming swats, that drank divinely’
I started my Tam O’Shanter Board Game a year ago, and suddenly felt like I ought to try and make some progress with it when I realised that Burns’ Night was fast approaching.
I’ve done a bit of work on the board, having sanded out the river with my dremel tool, and filled it with wax, added more squares with the pyrography pen, and glued down the 3D blocks – one for the site of the devilish celebrations, the other the candle holder which determines the length of the gameplay. Sadly I forgot to buy a candle.
It’s not much progress, but it’s some!
