This thing is the beginnings of a paper mache cat mask, intended really for a photography project that I have in mind for the future. However, that might well never actually happen, so it would seem silly not to share this in the meantime. Obviously it’s still being worked on! Why I’m sharing it now, I don’t know. I guess it’s nice to have a record of how these things progress.

I realise now that many people will sculpt a head/ face in clay and then papier-mache over it to get the right shape and features for a mask, where I’ve just been building up in layers of tissue and newspaper for the details. I may try the other way next.
