Nothing quite says Happy Easter like a hairy fleshy veiny egg cup.

I thought it was interesting how grotesque we can find flesh and hair, and felt that combining some of these textures with a normal object would be quite interesting, especially something associated with food and eating, to try and just look at the feelings we have around the body and biological processes, and (because it’s the fun bit) hopefully heighten the potential repugnance.

There is also some connection with fertility because of its function of holding an egg, and a nice contrast with the smooth texture of the egg with the veiny cup.

It also has a slightly mushroomy feel to me, which wasn’t intentional but I kind of like it.
