After about twenty layers of latex I have cracked open my mould for my Android character. I had to take a hammer to it because of my lack of skill in mould making, and as expected it has a monumental flash line of latex around it that I’ll have to slice off, but overall I’m really pleased.

The thickness is about inconsistent but will probably do; my hand fits it fine (although I’ll need some kind of strap in there to make opening the mouth easier, and all the details I wanted appear to have come out including the ear and the little flap of mouth skin.

The medium does definitely not suit a non organic subject, but never mind, it’s all good fun.
