An attempt at a little folk ditty about a child killed in the woods, whose death precipitates endless darkness, and the killers go back to beg the ghost of the child to let the sun rise, but nothing happens, and they suffer the misery of the darkness all the years of their life until they die, and the sun can rise again. Not that you’d know any of this, because it’s just a tune. I feel like it has a 70s vibe to it, but I don’t really know what I’m talking about. Anyway, it’s full of mistakes because I really can’t stand playing or listening to it anymore and can’t bring myself to keep trying to record it. Normally I quite like my compositions even if I think they’re not very good – this one I have grown to loathe.
And here’s a picture, because it needs something visual, although I’m pretty sure that this is the sun, rather than the moon.
