In my quest to find my illustrator shadowself I have gone back to an exercise that I did as part of a Domestika course I did led by Adolfo Serra, where you take an image at a flea market and combine elements to create an image. I was running low on inspiration and needed a direction. This is one of the results.
I think I was trying to capture the spirit of some of the Fighting Fantasy book illustrations that formed such a huge visual part of my childhood.
On the Three Point Perspective podcast recently one of the presenters said you have to produce a thousand bad pictures before you do a good one, so just 999 to go!
