I’ve now made a small handful of puppets of various different types and styles, and felt it was time to attempt a proper Muppetty puppet. I’ve sort of done something similarish with Captain Knut, my gentleman pirate, but I wanted to practice a bit with fabric and sewing, which I’ve never been good at.

There are a lot of people out there making these sorts of puppets and they do end up a bit samey, but I do like the anarchic energy of the Muppets, and I’m trying to thinking of ways that I could put a bit of my own spin on things.

Anyway, meet Woodwose… I still have to do a body for him, but unfortunately I can’t afford to buy more material at the moment, so it may be a while before you see him again.
