Here is the finished puppet of Mr Makapansgat , based on a prehistoric pebble with humanoid features found in a cave occupied by pre-human creatures.

He has a head made of latex, a body made of foam and hands made from papier-mâché. He hasn’t quite lived up to my expectations – his head, being hollow, looks a bit more deflated than the original stone, and his mouth is too small to look very effective when speaking. But, you know, he’s a 3 million year old personality, and it’s nice to have him back.
