Model Making week 2 – Little Old Lady
It was nice to get back in the workshop with my new modelmaking buddies. This week we left our plaster gargoyle moulds to one side and were set a new task, to create a small character out of super sculpey modelling clay.
I hadn’t done my homework of looking into possible characters so had to think on my feet a little bit and I went for an easy option of a hunchbacked little old lady.
It was incredibly therapeutic to sculpt the old biddy, although she came out looking a lot more masculine than I had intended, which is why I added the hat. Should have given her some hair. Well, you live and learn.
I’m not sure how long she was baked for as the tutors did that bit, but I’m definitely going to get some super sculpey of my own and play around with it.
