I would love to give illustration a bit of a try, and although I often doodle and sketch things, I have never really seriously tried any actual illustration, so I thought I would use all these warm festive feelings to do some super rough pictures of animals in winter landscapes, or rather of winter landscapes in animals.

This is a really sketchy start to a project that will need to be developed up across a lot of stages and hopefully end up as watercolour illustrations. At this stage I wondered if I could reasonably represent the animals I’m trying to draw, and if I could tell some kind of story with each picture.
