One of my Christmas gifts from my lovely wife this year was a beginner’s lino printing kit, and my first project will be a series of birds, which represent members of my family.

First off, so that I can make the mistakes with this one, is me – Crow.

I loved the whole process, from start to finish, and that unique print look is so distinctive that it sort of automatically conveys personality. It was also really nice to have a project leap immediately to mind that seemed right for the medium. I’ve got an idea for a future lino printing project, but it’s not as simple and may not work.
