These are some preliminary images I produced for the first exercise I was set in a new course I have signed up for on a site called Domestika. The course is called Illustration Techniques to Unlock Your Creativity with the illustrator Adolfo Serra.

Participants are asked to ‘animalize’ themselves. I struggled with many parts of this exercise, coming up with – and then rejecting – many ideas, and then trying to produce something i was vaguely happy with.

I’m still working on a ‘final’ image to sumbit, but in the meantime, here are some of my efforts trying to figure out what to do. I have variously represented myself as a snail, a moose and a crow.
