My Secret Santa got me some canvases for Christmas, and it would be rude not to use them. I have enjoyed getting the old paints out again, but I feel really incapable of controlling what I am doing, and can’t represent the image I have in my head.

Anyway, I’ve played around with this for a little while and I might keep trying to improve it but feel like it’s ok to share at this stage. I think maybe I try too hard to try to be accurate when i would probably be much happier if I was looser and more arty. I look back at posts like Don’t Look and The Seer, and even Father’s Day, and wish I could capture that more splashy and splodgy approach again. Anyway, for reference, this is painted in acrylic.
