I enjoy listening to the podcast Kick in the Creatives, which encourages creativity, and seemingly is aimed at creative people with a whole range of different backgrounds and levels of skill, including proud and enthusiastic amateurs like me.

They set loose monthly challenges and I’m not sure I’m brave enough to share anything on their Facebook community yet but am still following along with one of the challenges, Five Minute March, which is essentially producing a sketch in five minutes each day of the month – a vaguely similar challenge to my March Month of Making, and my Quick Fire challenge.

As with previous years’ efforts I am not sure that this approach really suits me – it doesn’t really loosen me up, I rarely feel like I create good results, and then I get a bit despondent.
