Today is the 59th anniversary of the abduction by extraterrestrials of Betty and Barney Hill, which I first started exploring as the story of an imagined post-apocalyptic future hand-puppet performance, in Close Encounter, and Abduction.

Here is the latest, rather unfortunate puppet – the Alien leader. Once again, I managed to make it too small. It works really well with the hollow head in terms of being able to manipulate it with a finger, and I found that I had a thumb spare, so I made an extra mini alien head poking out of the chest. It doesn’t really work practically, but I think it’s a cool idea, so I might return to it in another form.
