It’s Alice in Wonderland day today, celebrating the anniversary of the first telling of the Alice story (aboard a boat on the Thames, I believe).

I’d thought that I would continue my Wonderland=Childbirth project, but I’ve sort of lost steam with that, so instead I have simply adapted one of John Tenniel’s original illustrations and turned Alice into a tree having tried to learn some lessons from my surrealism course.

I imagine that being a tree would be quite annoying for Alice, and lead to some kind of debate with the surrounding trees, who are probably much like the Ents of Middle Earth but possibly even slower, and certainly less inclined to radical action.

May you all experience at least six impossible things today, and if today is yesterday’s tomorrow, or somewhere in between, then I hope you won’t not have had no lack of an enjoyable day.
