It doesn’t really look like much yet, but this is the first stage of a new puppet I’m making with latex, but rather than layers of latex like Meat Head, Robbie Redcap or the Paranoid Man-Droid, this is latex and tissue aimed to create a nice gnarly veiny texture.

The puppet isn’t really a character yet – I’m hoping to give it an aardvark or platypoid quality, but I want it to feel like a background creature from The Dark Crystal, or Jabba’s palace. It’s all a bit of an experiment, so it might all just be a disaster but hopefully will be a fun process.
