The next entry for my Museum of the Macabre project are these witches’ poppets. These are little dolls used for sympathetic magic, so that what you perform on the doll will be enacted on someone real. And generally speaking, it seems that they were not used for good purposes.

The inspiration for these came from the poppet collection in the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic in Boscastle. I love how the materials used are so earthy and available, and I wanted mine to feel authentic, like they were genuinely used for these sinister cursing purposes.
