After Winter Light, I was keen to capture my enthusiasm for making fairytale illustrations with oil paint, so I’ve started another image that tells another part of the story, although i haven’t actually written the story.

I think the last time I tried to paint a figure in a scene was a massive failure and appeared in my smorgasbord of failures A Year Among Monsters, so I’m hoping this one goes a little more smoothly!
