A quick update on my latest latex project Archaeopteryx Rex, which has ended in total and miserable failure. I must have mixed the plaster too thin, or it’s dodgy plaster, because it was so crumbly that there was no way it would come apart in two halves without completely collapsing in on itself. I thought maybe I could just cast the face half of the head, like I did with Meat Head and Robbie Redcap, but I had also lost some of the facial detail, so it all ended up in the bin. Farewell, Lizard Bird creature – perhaps I’ll reincarnate you one day.
